The different Zodiac signs and their respective Lords are shown in the following chart:

In the above chart, each zodiac is connected with the 5th and 9th zodiac signs. These three places (1, 5, 9) are called Trines. Actually, no planet is either good or bad, friend or enemy, positive or negative by nature. They will lose their strengths or positive effects when they get conjunted in Trines with North / South Nodes (Ragu / Kethu).

To predict a natal chart (birth chart), the foremost step is to consider the zodiac sign as 1 where the North/south node is present.

Consider the 1st , 5th and 9th houses from (1,5,9) from that zodiac sign. These Trines plays a major role.

The effect of different planets in the Trines with the North/south nodes are given below:

SUN: Late marriage, delayed child birth, the native may be separated from his father/son for some reasons.

MOON: Misunderstanding with mother, confusion in their mind, problems related to the house.

MARS: No cordial relation with siblings, will be cheated by partners, affected by debts, court cases, accidents and diseases. If the native is female, then late marriage or separation from the husband. Husband may work in abroad or other places.

MERCURY: Obstacles in studies, love failure, problems related with the properties, impaired speech and hearing.

VENUS: Delayed marriage, misunderstanding with wife, problems related with the family, troublesome wife.

JUPITER: Fear in their mind, bad dreams, pessimistic, believes that they having super natural powers, suicidal thoughts, laziness, expecting for luck, illusion of having some diseases.

SATURN: Believes in luck, ready to do any kind of work, often changing Their profession or working place, not easily satisfying, will face problems in work due to helping others.

The above negative effects are generally due to the conjunction of North/South Node with the other planets in the natal chart.

Next we have to predict the time of the above events in the native’s life. The above said events will happen during the transits of the planets from one zodiac to another.

For exact prediction, we have to consider the transits of the planets in various zodiac signs. We can predict them in the following way.

Fix the planets as per the natal chart. Imagine the transit of the planets and consider that they are moving on the natal chart.

For example, consider the transits of Jupiter and Saturn.

Jupiter will take 1 year to move from one zodiac to another.

If the Jupiter is in Virgo in the natal chart, at the age of two, the Jupiter will be in Libra , at the age of 3 it will be in Scorpio and so on.

Saturn will take 2½ years to move from one zodiac to another.

Thus Jupiter will influence for 1 year and Saturn for 2½ years when they come to the position of Trines (1,5,9) for a particular planet.

If we know the day to day position of the planets, then it will be easy to predict the present situation of the native.

Let us deal this with an example.

“Consider the transit of Saturn and assume that it is in Sagittarius.In natal chart if Venus is placed in Sagittarius/Aries/Leo (1,5,9 – Trines), the native will face the combined effects of Venus and Saturn till the planet Saturn moves from Sagittarius”.

The following are the effects of Saturn’s transit when it combines with the other planets.

SUN : Starting of a new business, getting a new job or changing the job, birth of child, promotion, developments in the profession.

MOON: Chance to build a house, frequent traveller, travel to abroad,they get help from their mother.

MARS: Get help from friends/ husband, remedies and treatments for long term diseases.

MERCURY: Developments related with properties, education, becomes more intellectual.

VENUS: Marriage, increase of financial status, family integrity, inflow of money.

JUPITER: Promotion, change of place or city, more concentration on profession/business.

SATURN: Increased thoughts of more earning.

Note: If the transit planet comes to Trines (1,5,9) for a particular planet which is already in trines (1,5,9) to the North/South Node in the natal chart, then the native will face the negative effects which are mentioned earlier.

For example, consider transit Saturn in Sagittarius and if the native has Venus in Sagittarius/Aries/Leo and the North/South Node also in Sagittarius/Aries/Leo in the natal chart, then he will get the negative effects which are mentioned earlier, till Saturn moves from Sagittarius.

Another important point to be noted is to keep the Retrograde planet in the previous Zodiac sign in the natal planet to predict the horoscope. example, if Retrograde Saturn is in Aries, then we have to keep it in Pisces for prediction.
